Perhaps the most widely traveled lure of all time is the bucktail jig. So universal is its success that the bucktail jig was a critical component in the fishing survival kit issued to World War II servicemen.

This 2.5oz version of the popular Bucktail Banana Jig has been designed with tropical demersals and reef dwellers in mind. Ideally used from a drifting boat where the jig can be bounced either slowly of vigorously, usually just off the bottom, as you drift over your target area. It is recommended that these jigs are fished on a hard drag as you often only have seconds to turn a fish before if buries you in its reefy lair.
